DAY 7
-Stone town tour and prison island
This Historical Stone Town tour that will guide you through centuries of culture. This tour captures the essence of Zanzibar by visiting iconic land marks including but not limited to – the House of Wonders, the Palace Museum (People’s Palace), Dr Livingston’s house and the Arab Fort. We will also explore the market, mosques and Cathedrals. There is enough time to analyze the hand carved wooden doors. Later after lunch at a chosen restaurant by your guide, you will go to prison Island.
In 1893 the former British prime minister of Zanzibar purchased the island and built a prison complex on it. But – it never served to its intended use! It was used as a quarantine station for yellow fever cases.
Today is the building a ruin, but it serves as a lovely guesthouse for tourists, where you’ll be able to relax a bit and enjoy magnificent views after visiting the giant tortoises’ reserve, where you will admire, pet, and even feed these magnificent, ancient, peaceful creatures. But – they are not locals! Four specimens of Aldabra giant tortoises were a gift from the governor of Seychelles in 1919.
They found Prison Island a great environment and bred freely. Today, many tortoises are welcoming you, and the first settlers are still among them! There is also a nursery for baby tortoises, where you can see baby tortoises of different ages. A great encounter for everyone, especially for kids!
Round up this great day with some snorkeling around the coral reefs, admire colorful fish, many beautiful starfish, and picturesque Seychelles. or simply relax on the white sandy beach.

FAQ
Even in the age of online booking, travel agencies are a great source of information and discounts. A travel agency  can make sure that your trip is tailored to you, assist you in case of unexpected problems, and help you anticipate potential issues in advance. Group tours are very affordable and an opportunity to explore the majority aspect of a destination. NB:affordable group tours to tanzania
Should the cost of airfare be incorporated, the majority of airlines typically favor having all passengers embark from a single designated airport to benefit from discounted rates. This arrangement proves advantageous for travelers originating from the corresponding state but could be quite inconvenient for those coming from other states.
In an effort to cater to the convenience of guests from diverse states, we’ve decided to provide an option for you to handle your flight bookings. Upon arrival, our team will be ready at the airport to pick you up. If required, we’re more than willing to assist in finding flight options by suggesting economical resources and websites that can aid in securing a great deal for you.

The Team
Jabir Ali
During my student years, I had the opportunity to explore parts of Africa. The joy of experiencing those diverse countries prompted me to share these adventures with my friends and family. Following my studies in Uganda, my mother, a seasoned retiree from the tour operator industry, assisted me in starting a tourism company from the ground up. I worked alongside her, learning and growing, and soon began receiving bookings. I discovered a passion for planning these trips, leading me to become an independent travel agent for my company. When my tour agent relocated, I obtained certification, bonding, and licensing, and then embarked on my journey to help plan trips to Tanzania. Currently, as an independent travel agent, my business is primarily focused on offering Zanzibar tours and Wildlife Safari packages in Tanzania's mainland. I feel profoundly grateful to be a part of the Africa Travellers Team.
