DAY 1
Arrival-Akwaaba
Upon arrival at Accra Kotoka International Airport, our experienced guides will assist and chauffeur you to CHARLESTON HOTEL for the night. Welcome dinner will be served .
DAY 2
Accra City Tour
The city of Accra dates back to the 15th century and has a blend of colonial and modern architecture that summarize her history. We will visit the W. E. B. Dubois Center for Pan African Culture, Independence/ Black Star Square and Kwame Nkrumah Memorial park. Hotel: Overnight at CHARLESTON HOTEL.
DAY 3
Center For Arts & Culture, Makola Markets
At 10am, we will visit the Makola market, one of the largest open market in the country. After lunch, we will visit the center for arts & culture, where you can use your bargain skills to haggle with the vendors. Hotel: Overnight at CHARLESTON HOTEL.

DAY 4
Assin Manso Slave River Tour
At 9:00am, we will leave for Assinmanso. During the trip, we will go past scenic villages and through the evergreen forests. On the way, we will stop at Assin Manso, where the mortal remains of two former slaves from the United States of America and Jamaica were re-interred in August 1998 during Ghana’s first Emancipation Day Celebration. You will also see the “Slave River” where captured Africans were washed before being confined in the Slave Castles to await shipment to the Americas and the Caribbean. After lunch, we will continue to ANOMABO BEACH RESORT to pass the night.
Elmina Slave Castle Tour
Visit the world’s heritage conservation centers of Elmina and Cape Coast castle where many Africans left their shores into the sugar cane and tobacco plantations of America & Caribbean Islands where labor force was needed and thereby creating the world’s largest Diaspora. After lunch, we will drive back to and ANOMABO BEACH HOTEL to pass the night.
Kakum National Park
At 9:00am, we will drive to kakum national park, one of the West Africa’s surviving tropical rain forests, covering a total area of 350sqkms with its unique kanopy walkway suspended over seven bridges and 30metres above the forest floor. Learn about the different types of trees and their medicinal uses. Lunch shall be taken at Hans’s cottage where we can watch the cottage crocks as well as different species of birds. Touch a live crocodile for a lifetime memory. After the tour, we will spend the night at ANOMABO BEACH HOTEL.
DAY 7
Anomabo-Kumasi Manhyia Palace Tour
After breakfast, we will drive to Kumasi the capital of the Ashanti kingdom and the seat of the Ashanti King to obtain firsthand information about the legacies and history of the Ashanti kingdom. After lunch, we will drive to ASANTEWAA PREMIER HOTEL to pass the night.
DAY 8
BONWIRE KENTE VILLAGE & NTONSO ADINKRA VILLAGE
At 8:30am, we will visit ntonso adinkra village for our desired wood works and where the traditional fare thee well adinkra clothes are made. Witness and learn how the ancient paddie tree bark is used to produce the colors of these traditional and most admirable clothes of Ghana.
Right after this tour, we will drive further to bonwire kente village where the famous royal kente clothes of Ghana are made. After lunch, we drive back to ASANTEWAA PREMIER HOTEL for a relaxing night
DAY 9-Day 10
Beach Day
After breakfast at 7:00am, we will drive back to central region and enjoy the sandy beach of ANOMABO BEACH HOTEL.
Afrodat Drumming & Dance Lessons
After breakfast, the Afrodat will entertain us with their drumming and dance lessons. Learn the various Ghanaian traditional dance moves and dance to the resonant tunes of Adowa and kete traditional music of Ghana.
After lunch, overnight at ANOMABO BEACH RESORT.

DAY 12
Departure
After breakfast, we will check out and depart to Accra to the arts center for all our last shopping. After shopping, we will drive to the airport for check in and departure.

When you submit your reservation ,our team or trip specialist will schedule a phone call with you and he/she will give you all the necessary information needed for you to partake in the tour. Passports & Visa Requirements
- In order to travel outside the united states or visit Africa, U.S. Canadian and UK citizens need a valid passport with an expiration date extending at least six months beyond the date of reentry.
- We recommend having at least one blank passport page for entry visa stamps.

Tour Pace
- You will walk for at least 30minutes- an hour daily across mostly flat terrain, including cobblestone streets, with few hills or stairs.
- Travelers should be healthy enough to participate in all included walks without assistance.
- You should feel comfortable managing your own baggage at times, but our team members are always available to assist with your luggage through the tour.
- Africa Travellers and the Tour Director or guide who accompanies your group are unable to provide special, individual mobility assistance to travelers on tour. The responsibility of the Tour Director and Guide is to ensure the group as a whole enjoys a relaxing and informative journey, and he or she cannot be relied upon to provide ongoing, individualized assistance to any one traveler.

Transportation & Arrival Information
- Round-trip flights will be privately booked by yourself since we currently do not offer group flights in our packages . Despite not offering group flight bookings, our team members are always available to help with your flight bookings when needed.
- Upon arrival, a representative from Africa Travellers will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel. Our representative will be holding a sign for easy identification.
- Transfers to and from the airport to all destinations are included in any trip you book with us .
Clothing & Packing Tips
- We recommend packing lightweight, loose-fitting clothing that can be easily layered to accommodate varying temperatures.
- A sturdy pair of walking shoes or sneakers is recommended for sightseeing and tours .
- One luggage bag and a carry on is recommended .If you bring two or more luggages above 50kg it will attract a loading and unloading fee of $80.00
Health & Vaccinations
- There are no major health risks associated with traveling any of our Africa destinations.
- At least 60 days prior to departure, check with your doctor or healthcare provider for the latest updates and entry requirements, or visit the Center for Disease Control and Prevention website at cdc.gov.
- Please note: Yellow fever certificate is required for most Africa destinations. You can call our team for all the necessary health requirements you will need.
- If you have medication that you take daily, be sure you have enough for each day of the tour as well as any possible delays encountered.
- If you have dietary restrictions and/or food allergies please notify Africa Travellers at least 30 days prior to departure by simply giving us a call .
Travel Insurance
If you are travelling overseas, or even domestically, taking out Travel insurance is highly recommended by the Africa Travellers Team. If you require medical attention while travelling, you may be liable for the cost of your treatment if you do not have travel insurance. Even though this isn’t a requirement before traveling we will recommend you purchase a travel insurance for your own safety and coverage.
Electricity & Air-conditioning
- We recommend packing a universal adapter, as well as a voltage converter if you plan on using your own hairdryer or other device without a built-in converter.
- There are air-conditions in all the facilities or hotels we accommodate our travelers with.
- Your hotel may provide irons, and other small appliances. However, these amenities cannot be guaranteed.
Internet Connectivity
- Wi-Fi is available in all the hotels we accommodate our travelers with .
- There is no Wi-Fi on any of our buses.
- Please contact your mobile service provider for information on roaming charges if needed.
Currency & Money Exchange
- Better rates of exchange are usually available in that Africa country. You can easily exchange your money to a local currency at the airport upon arrival . Our Tour Guide at Africa Travellers will gladly assist you as needed.
- We strongly advise that you take debit/bank cards and credit cards, which can be used to withdraw cash at local banks as needed.( VISA & MASTERCARDS)
- You can use most debit/credit cards at ATMs on the international networks , but make sure to check with your home bank about international withdrawal fees and restrictions.
- Inform your bank and credit card company of your travel plans so that they won’t confuse your international purchases for fraudulent charges.
- International banks and businesses primarily accept debit and credit cards that work with the EMV chip system. If you do not already have at least one debit or credit card with a chip in it, we strongly recommend requesting one from your bank prior to your tour.
